This month we'll be attending the Marine Sunset Parade.
This is quite a spectacle put on by the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and the Silent Drill Team.
Traditionally this has been held at the Iwo Jima Memorial every Tuesday evening during the summer for the past 60 years. Last year it was moved to the Lincoln Memorial due to renovations being done to the Memorial.
There is also a full moon that Tuesday and there will opportunities for night photography on the Mall.
Washington traffic furring the summer is not as bad as normal but it is best to avoid driving into DC and taking the Metro to the Smithsonian station.
We will be meeting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at 6:30PM and the parade starts at 7pm. I'll have a flag to mark our location.
If you are interested please register.

This is a good website on the photography end but I can assure you that the Parade is at the Lincoln Memorial.
