Transforming Flower to Floral Images.
Flowers have been the most photographed subject before selfies were born. Flowers are the perfect photographic subject. They posses innate qualities color, shape, and form; they vary by the way they are illuminated, the time of day, and the growing cycle; they are innate and can’t talk back to you; they are universal; they can be grown, purchased in the store, or found in gardens: and, they have many associated meanings (love, friendship, beauty, and transcendence).
Most Flower pictures are snap-shots, some are replicas (clinical), and some are artistic (floral). Through preparatory pre-processing, capturing, technical know-how, culling and post-processing (including pixel-painting), transformation occurs.
This short course will be an introduction to providing a gateway and inspiration to creating art from your floral images.
