Join us for our next General Meeting, Wednesday, September 6th , 7:00pm. This meeting will be HYBRID, though we hope to see many of you LIVE at the Miller Library in Ellicott City.

Our speaker will be Ken Evans.  From a young age, Ken was drawn to the world of art and its ability to tell stories without words. Growing up in the picturesque landscapes of Maine, he found inspiration in the rich colors of nature and the interplay of light and shadow with the changing seasons. He first used a camera at the early age of 8 and has continued photographing all his life.

Today, Ken's Fine Art Photography is an exploration of the beauty and mystery found in the natural world using monochromatic, abstract and ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photography. His work captures the essence of his subjects in a way that is both familiar and new, evoking emotions and a sense of curiosity.

As an avid outdoorsman, Ken spends a great deal of time in nature, immersing himself in the environment and seeking out over-looked images that he can capture through his lens. His love of the outdoors informs his work, and he seeks to share that passion with others through his photography workshops.

Ken's abstract and ICM photography offer a unique perspective on the natural world, showcasing the often-overlooked details and textures that make up the landscape. His use of color, shape, and texture creates a visual language that speaks to the viewer on an emotional level, drawing them into the image and allowing them to connect with the subject in a deeply personal way. He has been featured in galleries in the US and Europe and has won photography awards. He has been a professional photographer since 2018 and sells his work at www.kenevansphotography.com.
