CMPG Outing: Wizarding Weekend at Ellicott City

Outing: Wizarding Weekend at Ellicott City: 

Please join us for a day of urban photography and the Wizarding Weekend at Old Ellicott City.  Information about the festival and parking is available at the web sites below.

Date: October 5 at 9:00 am (this time will allow us to take pictures prior to the wizard weekend kickoff at 10:00 am). Parking will be at a premium so we are planning to be there early and suggest that you use the lots at the bottom of the hill (Lots A, B, & C)

Meet Up: Under the red Ellicott City bridge near the river at the lower end of town (the bridge is shown in red on the parking map).  John Schuster will meet you there. The outing will be held rain or shine.

Information: There is no charge for the festivities and the parking is free. There are no shuttles for this event, however, so we must make do with the available lots. Businesses will be having special events and you can make a day of it. Hundreds of kids and adults will be wearing fantastic costumes in homage to all things Harry Potter.

Guild members will be happy to assist newer photographers and suggestions will be available for the kinds of pictures you might take. Carrying a camera with a relatively small “walking around” lens will provide the most flexibility.
