Have you ever felt stuck within your current photo-editing toolkit? Ever want to explore experimental approaches to processing your works? Join us for an introduction to glitch art, led by Alex Taylor. He will discuss the history of glitch art and various ways to digitally mangle images including manipulating images as audio, approaches for creating video feedback, and techniques for tweaking images and videos at the byte level.
Alex's Bio: Alex Taylor is a tinkerer, visual artist, and musician based in Owings Mills, MD. His practice includes collaged electro-acoustic improvisations, mixed media visuals, and unintended computer-driven collaboration. He teaches Optical Hijinks, a workshop that explores digital and analog glitch art techniques, through Berkley based creative laboratory Dogbotic.
