"We advance the art and science of photography through technical and aesthetic educational programs and through public service photography."
MEMBERS ONLY
Please join us for an outing at The Walters Art Museum (https://thewalters.org) on Saturday, February 1st. The museum is hosting their annual celebration of Chinese New Year and there are also many opportunities for photographing the unique collections at the Walters.
There is no fee for admission (but the museum does request that you register on their website above). Paid parking is available next to the museum. Photography is allowed in the museum, but no flash, tripods, monopods, etc. are allowed (handheld cameras with straps only). The New Years Celebration begins at 11:00 am and it is recommended to get their early (the museum opens at 1000 am). John Schuster and Mike Washington will be there to answer any questions.
Please register on the CMPG website so we can get an estimate of how many plan to attend.
There is a nice café for lunch and there are also restaurants nearby and interesting architecture including the Washington Monument in the neighborhood. If you have not been to The Walters before, they exhibit a wide range of art works from around the world representing seven millennia.
