March User Group Hands on Workshop - Oil & Water Photography Hands on Workshop: A unique way of creating amazing abstracts

UPDATE:  This will now be a hands on workshop instead of a demo, so make note of the camera equipment you should bring!  We will need to limit this workshop to 14 people, so if we have more than that, I will email letting you know you are on the waitlist.  Lastly, if you register and cannot not attend, please let me know so that someone can take your spot.

This is an interesting technique that is a really fun exercise in abstract photography, perfect during these cold months! 

Overview: Oil & Water photography is the effect oil droplets have when placed on a bed of water and the effects you can create with your camera.

What you will learn:  You will learn what setup, materials, and techniques are required to make some amazing and fun images!

What to bring:  

• Camera
• A macro lens if you have one.  If you don't have one, bring a lens that is around 70mm - 100mm, so 24-105mm and 70-200mm lenses will work.  It just needs to be able to focus closely.
• Tripod - Make sure that the head tilts so that the camera can shoot vertically.  If yours doesn't do this, I will bring a few that you can borrow
• Remote cable release (optional) -  Not required, but a nice to have
• LED light panel (optional) - If you have one, please bring it.
