Our next CMPG Outing is scheduled on Saturday, June 28 at Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens and will include a visit to the National Arboretum next door.
We plan to meet at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens at 8:00 am to capture the early morning light. At this time of year, the park is in bloom with many varieties of water lilies and Saturday traffic is much less than the weekday rush hour. Both venues are free with parking on site.
Additional information about the Aquatic Gardens is available at:

Mike Washington has graciously provided the following pictures to illustrate the subjects at the aquatic gardens:
Mike has also provided some tips for equipment at the gardens in the following photograph:
The National Arboretum is close by the aquatic gardens. Additional information on the national arboretum can be found at:

At this time of year, there are not a lot of flowers in bloom, but there are other interesting exhibits such as the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum (which opens at 10:00 am) and the historic National Capital Columns.
Both venues are open until 8:00 pm and you are welcome to come and go at any time. John Schuster and Mike Washington will be available in the morning if you have any questions.
